All of Europe Within Reach
Monaco is just a few hours away from major European capitals thanks to the Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport, only 7 minutes away by helicopter.
Monaco's SNCF train station serves TGV trains to Marseille, Lyon, and Paris, as well as high-speed trains to Milan and Rome.
As a key Mediterranean cruise hub and host to prestigious yachts, the Hercule and Fontvieille ports are internationally renowned.
Finally, easy access to the A8 motorway opens the doors of Europe to both passenger vehicles and freight transport trucks.
An Attractive Real Estate Sector
The Principality's real estate market is thriving for two main reasons:
- the number and significance of privileges associated with a purchase (quality of life, security, banking environment, tax benefits)
- the small size of the territory, which makes real estate scarce despite impressive technological achievements.
More than half of the investments are made by non-residents who plan to move to the Principality only in the medium term. French buyers, seeking inheritance tax advantages, represent a significant portion of purchasers.

The Principality of Monaco has a diversified economy. Due to its size and unique tax framework, the service sectors and high-value-added industries are predominantly represented.
How to Open a Bank Account in Monaco?
Opening a bank account in Monaco is relatively straightforward, as a residence card or a valid ID is sufficient. The law requires banks to verify the identity of individuals, understand their financial situation, and the reasons for opening the account in the Principality. In certain legally defined cases, banks must submit a suspicious activity report to the AMSF.
When opening the account, a deposit account agreement is established between the two parties. This agreement outlines the commitments of both the bank and the account holder, from account creation to closure.
The document signed by both parties includes, among other things, information on account duration, services offered, power of attorney conditions, possibilities for modification or termination, and available remedies.
It also provides details on the payment methods provided, security obligations, procedures in case of loss, errors, or incidents, as well as any fees, taxes, or other charges that may apply.
Finally, it specifies the terms for authorized overdrafts, consequences of exceeding limits, and the possibilities for blocking or returning payment methods.
