Monaco private bank CFM Indosuez confirms its commitment to sustainable finance and ocean preservation by renewing its support for the Monaco Blue Initiative (MBI) and the Blue Economy & Finance Forum (BEFF) 2026, two major events held in the Principality from 27 to 29 May.

Organised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, these international gatherings bring together policymakers, scientists, investors, financial institutions and philanthropic players each year around issues linked to the blue economy and ocean protection.

Monaco, capital of blue finance

The Monaco Blue Initiative will take place on 27 May at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. For more than fifteen years, this strategic think tank has fostered international dialogue on ocean governance and concrete solutions to accelerate their protection.

The Blue Economy & Finance Forum will then take over on 28 and 29 May at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco. The event aims to mobilise investors, banks, sovereign wealth funds and companies to accelerate financing for projects linked to a sustainable and regenerative maritime economy.

Following the success of the 2025 edition, which identified more than €25 billion in potential investment in the blue economy, the forum has established itself as one of the major international events for sustainable finance.

A strong commitment by CFM Indosuez to responsible finance

Through this renewed partnership, CFM Indosuez, alongside Crédit Agricole S.A. and Crédit Agricole CIB, reaffirms its ESG strategy and its long-standing commitment to the environmental transition.

The bank highlights in particular the important role finance plays in supporting the economic transformations linked to marine resource protection and the development of sustainable solutions.

According to Bénédicte Chrétien, CEO of CFM Indosuez, « the strength of the collective is essential to meet the environmental and economic challenges facing our societies ».

The bank is also developing investment solutions that incorporate demanding environmental criteria and supports clients wishing to direct their wealth towards projects with a positive impact.

A strategic issue for Monaco

With the Monaco Blue Initiative and the Blue Economy & Finance Forum taking place back to back, the Principality confirms its position as a leading international hub for sustainable finance and environmental innovation.

These events also illustrate the growing importance of «blue finance», a strategic segment of wealth management and responsible investment closely followed by players in Monaco's private banking sector.
