CFM Indosuez Wealth Management has presented the main lines of its new strategy in Monaco, with a clearly stated ambition: to put the client at the heart of its model while strengthening its role within the Monegasque financial centre.

A New Strategic Step for CFM Indosuez

At a first meeting with the Monegasque press, Bénédicte Chrétien, Chief Executive of CFM Indosuez Wealth Management, together with several members of the executive committee, unveiled the main pillars of the bank's new roadmap.

This strategy follows several major developments for CFM Indosuez, notably the integration in March 2026 of BNP Paribas Monaco's Wealth Management client base and the arrival of 37 employees as part of that transaction.

The new direction rests on six key priorities: strengthening a client-centric advisory approach, evolving management and the use of technology, transforming governance, leveraging the listed-bank model, supporting families across several generations, and giving greater meaning to wealth management.

The Private Banker at the Centre of the Relationship

One of the main changes announced concerns the way advice is organised. CFM Indosuez aims to move towards a genuine “advisory architecture”, in which the private banker acts as a coordinator between the bank's various areas of expertise.

Financial management, real estate, insurance, investment, wealth structuring and succession planning: the goal is to offer a comprehensive approach to an increasingly international clientele facing multi-jurisdictional wealth issues.

In Monaco, the bank relies in particular on a team of nine wealth structuring and life insurance specialists, as well as nearly 60 private bankers. It also benefits from the expertise and international presence of Indosuez Wealth Management and the Crédit Agricole group.

Investing in People While Accelerating on Technology

Another pillar of the roadmap is to evolve working methods and make teams more proactive.

CFM Indosuez intends to go beyond simply executing transactions, in order to better anticipate needs, identify opportunities and offer solutions tailored to the different stages of clients' lives.

In this context, the bank champions an approach based on the principle of “people augmented by technology”. Artificial intelligence and digital tools are expected to improve analysis, automate certain processes and optimise portfolio management, while keeping the human relationship at the heart of client support.

This transformation is taking place within a Monaco organisation of around 400 employees. The trading room brings together some fifty multilingual specialists, while the international investment teams comprise around 150 professionals.

Renewed and More International Governance

The new strategy also comes with a change in governance. 80% of CFM Indosuez's executive committee has been renewed, with the stated aim of bringing together greater diversity in terms of profiles, experience and nationalities.

This international dimension reflects the bank's clientele, which extends well beyond the borders of the Principality. CFM Indosuez notably highlights clients in Europe, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Latin America, the Middle East, South Africa and the Pacific.

The bank thus seeks to combine its historic roots in Monaco with access to the international network of Indosuez Wealth Management.

A Family Bank Focused on Wealth Transfer

With more than a century of presence in the Principality, CFM Indosuez also wishes to strengthen its positioning with families and entrepreneurs.

The stated objective is to support clients across several generations, gradually involving the younger generations in discussions about wealth, investment and its transfer.

This approach is particularly important at a time of generational renewal of wealth. CFM Indosuez notably highlights the challenges related to the “Great Wealth Transfer”, the arrival of the Next Gen and the growing role of women in wealth management.

Towards a “Bank of Meaning”

The final dimension of this new roadmap concerns the meaning given to wealth management.

CFM Indosuez intends to develop an approach that is not limited to the pursuit of financial performance, but also takes into account the values, projects and long-term impact of investments.

The bank cites in particular its initiatives in the blue economy, sustainable real estate, culture and education. It also points to its long-standing commitment to the Principality, notably through its partnership with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo and its support for various Monegasque associations and institutions.

CFM Indosuez Aims to Strengthen Its Role in the Monegasque Financial Centre

This new roadmap therefore comes at a time of transformation for CFM Indosuez and, more broadly, for wealth management in Monaco.

After integrating new teams and BNP Paribas Monaco's Wealth Management client base earlier this year, the bank now intends to build on its strengthened organisation to pursue its development.

For CFM Indosuez, the challenge is to combine the strength of an international banking group with the proximity of an institution historically rooted in the Principality. A direction that places advice, family relationships, innovation and international openness at the heart of its development in Monaco.
