CMB Monaco is reaffirming its commitment to professional equality. The Monaco-based private bank has renewed its Fair-ON-Pay certification, confirming that the pay gap between women and men within the institution remains below the statistical tolerance threshold of 5%.

The new certification follows the completion of a first certification cycle covering the period from July 2022 to July 2026. It therefore forms part of a long-term approach aimed at measuring and maintaining fair remuneration practices within the bank.

An analysis covering all employees

For this new certification, CMB Monaco commissioned a statistical analysis covering all 276 employees of the bank.

The assessment was conducted in accordance with the international Fair-ON-Pay standard by Comp-On AG, a company specialising in pay equality analysis. The results show that the pay gap between women and men at CMB Monaco remains below the statistical tolerance threshold of 5%.

Based on this analysis, the Fair-ON-Pay certificate was renewed by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance), an international organisation specialising in inspection, testing and certification.

The certification recognises companies whose remuneration practices meet the requirements of the Fair-ON-Pay standard and provides an objective indicator of their commitment to equal pay.

Equal pay at the heart of CMB Monaco's HR policy

For CMB Monaco, this recertification goes beyond a one-off assessment. It confirms a policy pursued for several years in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion.

The private bank, which has been established in Monaco since 1976, has implemented several initiatives aimed at promoting professional equality and career development. Its approach is also part of Mediobanca Group's ToDEI programme, which focuses on diversity, equity and inclusion.

CMB Monaco currently has 278 employees, 49% of whom are women, according to information published on its recruitment platform. The bank also highlights its training and mentoring programmes designed to support the professional development of its teams.

A certification based on a standardised methodology

Fair-ON-Pay certification is based on a standardised methodology designed to assess pay equality between women and men within an organisation.

The process relies in particular on Logib, a statistical analysis tool recognised as a good practice by the Equal Pay International Coalition. The analysis takes into account a number of factors in order to identify potential remuneration differences that cannot be explained by objective criteria.

The process involves specialised experts in pay equality analysis, followed by an independent assessment leading to certification by SGS. The certification is valid for four years, with periodic monitoring designed to ensure that the requirements continue to be met over time.

A further recognition for CMB Monaco

With this renewal, CMB Monaco is reaffirming the continuity of its commitment to equal pay.

The bank obtained its first Fair-ON-Pay certification in 2022, following an analysis based on data from March 2022. That initial assessment had already concluded that the pay gap was below the 5% tolerance threshold.

Four years later, the new assessment reaches the same conclusion, allowing CMB Monaco to continue its certified approach to professional equality.

For the Monaco private bank, this recertification therefore represents both recognition of the practices already implemented and a commitment to maintaining fair remuneration conditions for all employees over the long term.
